The city of Dallas built a brand-new animal shelter in 2007. The citizens of Dallas paid for it. So why are we still killing almost 80% of the animals that need shelter?
Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. I'm loving that D Mag did a story on this! Every quote I read in the article is such bullshit -- makes me want to vomit! Zapata, HSUS -- barf! I need to re-read the article again more closely but didn't see any quotes from the mastermind, Skip T!! It is still mind boggling to me that so much has happened on the watch of the man who is the face of Texas Humane Legislative Network, a group who claims to 'fight for animal protection and enforcement of animal laws' and so many others that claim to be animal protection people who have sat on the very committee that 'advises' Dallas City Council on such matters. It disgusts me! It's been a total lie for so long and so many animals have suffered at the hands of their cowardly, pompous attitudes and beliefs!
Ha. A total rain out! Not only did it rain, we had tornadic storms! That's the risk one takes on an outdoor event. It was the only day in October that we had rain! Oh well, better luck next time. Thanks for asking.
